Online Adult Piano Classes

HAMDD is happy to announce our new online piano class for adult learners. This class is designed specifically for adult learners who are absolute beginners. Lessons are not pre-recorded but are broadcast live. It’s as if I’m sitting right next to you, one on one. My class is insultingly easy, my apologies. I make no claims, as in other online classes, that you will be playing songs that you want to play in only a few weeks. Realistically speaking, this requires a consistent and disciplined approach that yields big results. You will receive a musical education, here there are no shortcuts. As my older students would say, it’s all about keeping your mind active, exercising those fingers. My approach is a quality, not a quantity experience.

What will we cover? Primarily three main areas!

Music theory. This involves learning how to read music by understanding the signs and symbols of music

Counting music (a part of theory). This is a big one and one that poses for many the greatest challenge. Will someone be able to tap their foot to music that you play?

Fingering. Using faulty fingering is one that ties the fingers up by not freeing them to play efficiently.

In my class there is no high tech wizardary, just plain old school instruction!

Registration fee: $35.00

Tuition: $59.95/month

Length: One hour per week (35-40 minutes of instruction plus 15-20 minutes of question and answers.

Requirements: You must have an instrument and access to “Zoom”. This is my teaching platform.

Time: Noon to 1:00 pm; Thursdays.

Demo lesson: Thursday, February 19 at noon.
